SAY HI TO MEET MARINA

Marina is a 1.75 meter (last measurement) female leatherback turtle that can get even bigger! She sails in West of the beaches of Costa Rica, depending on the season. It is an ideal spawning ground for leatherback turtles and is also home to many great white sharks (which will not attack giant turtles like Marina ) and is an abundant feeding ground. Marina can cover very large distances in a relatively short time and is one of the most endangered sea turtle species.By following it, we can better understand its migratory decisions and the impact of global warming on its habitat.
